![]() ![]() With Driven to Glory looking much like an arcade-style career mode it’s unlikely, yet the introduction to the mechanic and his boast of being able to make any car the fastest makes me want to have him pop up to lend advice. What’s not clear is where or if there’s an option to get into light or densely detailed tuning. The proof is always in the play, though this is looking promising from the 6 events we’ve seen so far. On top of the AI, the disciplines themselves look like a lot of fun, as well as showcasing that all the cars and trucks do handle differently. It looks like some of this is scripted to a degree and may flow across the live action sections so that there’s a feeling of action and consequence through the whole story mode. Get too up close and personal with one of your competitors and you could trigger their Nemesis side and you can expect to feel the brunt of their displeasure if you get in their way. ![]() This is a far cry from nose-to-tail precessions that can dog the genre. They’re aggressive when they can be, defensive going into corners, and prone to mistakes as well.
